Paying Tribute to the Crown Prince – Reggae Vault Classics 17

This is the latest episode of the syndicated Reggae Vault Classics podcast produced by Kahlil Wonda of Highlanda Sound for the week of April 20, 2009 featuring classic reggae music in a DJ mixed format with no talking.

Dennis Emmanuel Brown
(February 1, 1957 – July 1, 1999) recorded more than 75 albums and was one of the pioneers of the lovers rock sub-genre of reggae. Bob Marley cited Brown as his favorite singer, and dubbed him “The Crown Prince of Reggae.” D. Brown also is my favorite singer of all time so in tribute I have compiled a mix consisting of 20 songs. The subject matter of the selected music here is varied and some tracks were commercially successful, whereas some are old dusty vault classics that give me goosebumps and I wanted to feature. This is only part 1, so fans of the Crown Prince please make sure to download this one and subscribe to the podcast for automatic updates.
