Reggae Vault Classics 21 – Hits From The Legendary Studio One Era

This is the latest episode of the syndicated Reggae Vault Classics podcast produced by Kahlil Wonda of Highlanda Sound for the week of July 5, 2009 featuring classic reggae music in a DJ mixed format with no talking.

Today’s mix consists of 27 recordings from the vaults of the legendary Jamaican Studio One record label which was instrumental in shaping the reggae genre during the 1960s and 70s. 12 of the songs in our playlist were sung by female vocalists, Marcia Griffiths, Phyliss Dillon, Jennifer Lara, Angela Prince, Charlotte, and Doreen Schafer – hats off to the ladies. Episode 21 of Reggae Vault Classics runs for about 40 minutes so go ahead and download this one for your collection.
