To commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Highlanda Sound System, DJ Osmose, The Honorary Citizen, and DaFlavaRadio.com will hold a special Reggae Vault Classics: Join us in the Fight event on Thursday, October 20th at the Sound Table located at 483 Edgewood Avenue from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. General admission is $5 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the fight against breast cancer.

The Reggae Vault Classics event organizers continue in their mission to uplift their community through bringing the great musical tradition and positive messages of Reggae’s early musicians, producers, and artists to new and diverse audiences. Over the past 6 months this unique event has become a platform to provide meaningful contributions to an even greater cause – the advocacy of cancer awareness and the search for a cure.

Rico Vibes, CEO and President of DaFlavaRadio.com and of Natural Vibes Sound, will host the Reggae Vault Classics: Join us in the Fight event while DJ Osmose, DJ Passport, and Highlanda Sound will provide the soundtrack.“I believe that music is a mission and we have the power to change the world,” stated Kahlil Wonda of Highlanda Sound System.

This Generation’s Garnett Silk?

Many may remember Garnett Silk’s smooth voice and powerful lyrical content that captivated us in the early nineties and left us wanting more. His untimely death left a gap in the industry that no other artist has been able to fill, until now. Meet Humanuwah.

Born Prince-Emmanuel Alexander Smith, producer, singer and songwriter “Humanuwah”, found his place in the field of music through the journey to realize the true self (the spiritual self). Having a very strong desire to promote the message in his music and not himself, he has managed to shy away from the public for years.

He defines his music as a reflection of the soul’s journey to the inner higher states of consciousness, and says his purpose and aim musically is to be a channel of spiritual awakening, enlightenment and inspiration to the world.

There is not much to say about Humanuwah, his music speaks for him. Take a listen:
