The annual Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Networking Series, which identifies professionals and civic minded individuals of Caribbean heritage who have contributed to the multicultural community, will take place at the newly renovated Stir It Up Restaurant and Lounge, 84 12ST, Atlanta, GA 30309 on Thursday, May 22, 2014.

Also being honored are Wanique Shabazz, Director of Operations at WRFG 89.3 FM, Tina Hart, Black Latino Council Atlanta, David Panton, the President of Panton Capital Holdings, Dr. Karen Godette, Chief of Staff at Emory Winship Cancer Center, and Vin Martin, Atlanta’s Former Honorary Consul of Jamaica. The Humanitarian of the Year honoree is Garvin Stewart, founder of Food for the Poor, and the Lifetime Achievement Award Honorees are Pola Cooper and Patrick Mc Bain, founders of the Atlanta Peach Carnival aka Atlanta Caribbean Folk Festival.
The Caribbean Media Network, in conjunction with affiliates, will host this memorable networking celebration on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Atlanta’s Caribbean hot spot, Stir It Up Restaurant and Lounge, which is under the direction of Jamaican Chef Chris; Chef Chris menu was carefully created to fit all types of palettes, reinventing Island Favorites with his signature sauces, bold spices, traditional techniques and recipes made from scratch; stirred up with all its international cultures. This luxury venue is located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, which will serve as a tropical oasis for this year’s celebration. The event will start promptly at 7:00p.m. (RSVP Required)
The 2014 Atlanta Networking Event, will be feature Caribbean American entertainment, lifestyle, and culture specialist, Red Carpet Shelley, and a variety of celebrity presenters. The atmosphere will be highlighted by DJ Kahlil Wonda of international sound system Highlanda along with specially invited guests.
