Atlanta Event Electric Dancehall
The 1st ever Electric Dancehall Atlanta will take place at the newly refurbished WildPitch Music Hall, located at 255 Trinity Avenue, Atlanta, GA on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 10pm to 3am. The highly anticipated special event is set to be the premier gathering for the progressive Atlanta Caribbean music and EDM movements, bringing fans together in the downtown area for one night only. Advance tickets can be purchased for $20 at www.electricdancehallatlanta.eventbrite.com. Come be apart of what is sure to be an exciting evening of dancing and socializing.
Currently many songs on the Billboard Top 100 feature elements of Dancehall and other Afro-Caribbean genres. Artists like Drake, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, & Justin Bieber have used these same elements to connect with a larger audience. Electric Dancehall aims to present a new way that the world can party by compelling the audience to engage with their music in a more energetic way, forgo their musical or cultural affiliations for one night, and let the DJs cater to their inner dancing urge.
Headlining Electric Dancehall Atlanta will be DJ Mars, Shane Talon, ĀGARD, Highlanda Sound, and DJ Passport. The night will be hosted by the genre-bending Jamaican performer and songwriter, Dreggae.
“A great melding of worlds is taking place in terms of musical exploration and production. We are excited about bringing together followers of different genres, doing away with perceived divisions, and merging music styles and culture together in a fresh, innovative way for an unforgettable experience,” says Electric Dancehall CoProducer Kahlil Wonda.

ATLANTA, GA, December 31, 2015 –The event will take place at Studio No. 7 in downtown
Atlanta on February 5, 2016, between the hours of 9 pm and 3 am. In addition to observing Bob
Marley’s 71st birthday, the event will serve as a birthday celebration for fellow Aquarians, Kahlil
Wonda from Highlanda Sound, his wife Mrs. Wonda, and DJ/Producer, ĀGARD, who will be
traveling from New York City.
The Bob Marley Tribute will coincide with and be a special edition of Highlanda.net and The Honorary Citizen’s successful monthly event, dubbed Rocksteady ATL.
Studio No. 7, the venue which also hosted the 2015 staging of this event, offers a central and
spacious setting. Located at 393 Marietta Street near to the World of Coca-Cola and Centennial
Olympic Park in Atlanta, the venue has been voted Best of 2014 by the reputable Atlanta
Tribune: The Magazine. Tickets for the event can be purchased online in advance or the night
of the event at the venue.
With a number of performers on the 2016 lineup, the event promises to be bigger and better
than the inaugural staging, showcasing the best in music from Bob Marley and other great
artistes. In addition to a live set by the BRAP Band, patrons can expect selections from several
top-rated music curators, including DJ Passport, ĀGARD, Highlanda Sound, as well as special
guest Jah Prince. There will also be a live performance from reggae artist, Ken Serious, with
mixing from Kahlil Wonda.

Commemorating the legacy and 70th anniversary of the Bob Marley’s birth
Highlanda Sound will be hosting A Bob Marley Tribute event at Studio No. 7, an art gallery, craft bar, eatery, and lounge in downtown Atlanta, voted Best of 2014 by Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine.
The tribute event will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 10pm-3am to commemorate Marley’s 70th birthday, as well as to honor the birthday of Highlanda Sound co-founder ĀGARD. Highlanda’s Kahlil Wonda, who shares an Aquarius birthdate with his wife, will also be celebrating on this special occasion. Musical selections as global as Marley himself will be presented all night by Highlanda Sound’s other co-founder, SuperPEC Archangel alongside selector M.I.C and surprise guests.
Located at 393 Marietta Street near to The World of Coca-Cola and Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, the venue Studio No. 7 is billed as a space for creatives and will offer a blend of art, cuisine, cocktails and music for this event. Tickets starting at $10 will be available online and at the door.
Although he passed away in 1981, Bob Marley’s music still accounts for over half of all reggae music sales, and his message continues to resonate across the globe as a beacon of truth, justice, and love.
“Mr. and Mrs. Wonda and I wanted to organize a big Aquarius anniversary, meanwhile Highlanda’s supporters were asking for a special event on a weekend since many folks are unable to attend Rocksteady on 1st Sundays. This all coincided with Bob’s 70th and Studio No. 7’s interest in hosting an event with Marley-inspired music. More than just reggae, its an international music phenomena and a great way to infuse people,” said ĀGARD, founder of Highlanda Sound and ĀGARD Entertainment.
