Recognizing Caribbean American Cross-Cultural Contributions to the Global Marketplace

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:     Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Networking Series              Recognizing Caribbean American Cross-Cultural Contributions to the Global Marketplace   Atlanta, Georgia: The 2013 Caribbean American Networking and Social Media Series will kick off in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday May 23, 2013.The annual recognition indentifies professionals and civic minded individuals of Caribbean heritage, living in the metro Atlanta area, who have contributed to the multicultural community.  Our honorees were carefully considered amongst an excellent slate of distinguished nominee, which includes film producers, songwriters, executives, doctors, and community leaders.  The accomplishments of our honorees, plays a significant role in the continued growth of the metro Atlanta area, and surrounding counties.  The Caribbean Media Network, in conjunction with affiliates, will host a memorable networking celebration on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Fins Restaurant and Lounge, located in Midtown Atlanta. The event will start promptly at 7:00p.m. The event timing has a notable significance for Caribbean Americans in Atlanta, as the city plays host to the 25th Anniversary of Atlanta Caribbean Festival, on May 25, 2013.   The 2013 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Networking Series include a series of promotional events, in the prime markets of Atlanta, Georgia, New York City, and Miami, Florida, throughout the year.  The 2013 Atlanta Networking Event, will be hosted by Caribbean American Diva, Red Carpet Shelley, who serves as an ambassador of Caribbean lifestyle and culture. Music will be provided by radio personalities Highlanda Sound , throughout the evening.

A Surprising 11 Nominations for Richie Loop

Richie Loop is undoubtedly starting of the New Year with a bang, only two weeks into the year and already he has graced what was described to be on of the biggest and greatest historical events – The Bayfront Park Amphitheatre in downtown Miami, where he opened for the first ever Buju and Friends. To add to the joy of this achievement, he has received a whopping ‘eleven’ awards nominations thus far.

The 4th Annual Youth View Awards, has recognized Richie Loop in the category Favorite New Artiste of the Year. The Youth View Awards as the title suggests, is the sole award show targeting Jamaica’s youth demographic, primarily teens and young adults. The general public vote in each category via text messaging to select a winner from the choice of nominations. The hosts for the awards show this year are ZJ Bambino and Rocsi Diaz of BET106 & Park.

Additionally, Richie Loop is nominated in the category of Best New Artist of the Year (Male) via Hitz 92 FM Music Awards for 2010 with song My Cupp. In addition CariVibez 2nd Annual Video Web Awards whereby each awardee will receive the Global Tower of Recognition. Richie Loop has been nominated for two categories inclusive of – Breakout Video of the Year: Richie Loop – ‘My Cupp’ and International Video of the Year Richie Loop-‘Cupp Cupp’ Remix.

The Star People’s Choice Awards 2011 Video Web Awards also has contributed greatly to the recognition of Richie Loop’s work, by indicating two additional nominations namely; Best New Male Artiste and Song of the year.

Another big surprise came when he received an email from his home town, indicating that the Clarendon Music Awards & Dinner hosted by Temperature’s Entertainment, which is a professional company that specializes in staging music events all over the world. Temperature’s has successfully staged shows in Jamaica, the United Kingdom and Canada since 2004. It is with much joy that Richie Loop hopes to be successful at this event within the categories, that he has been nominated for, namely:

*Male artiste of the year

*Producer of the year award

*Best New artiste

*Recording artiste of the year

*Music video of the year

*Rhythm of the year – Dancehall

Richie believes that just being nominated is an indication, that the industry leaders are appreciative of the efforts of not only himself but all the nominees, and for that he is thankful, and this will only motivate him to work harder for 2011.
