13 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers to be Honored in Atlanta on June 14, 2015

The announcement of the 13 honorees for the 2015 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Awards was officially made public on Friday May 15, 2015. The 2015 list of honorees highlights the best of the City of Atlanta, Georgia. The event will be held at the chic urban Caribbean restaurant Negril Village, on Sunday June 14, 2015 at 4pm.

The annual recognition identifies professionals and civic minded individuals of Caribbean heritage, living in the metro Atlanta area, who have contributed to the multicultural community. This year’s honorees include:
  • Consul General of the Bahamas Consul General Randy Rolle,
  • Honorary Consul of Jamaica Mrs. Jewel Scott Esq.,
  • Founder Black Supply Institute Mr. Devin Robinson,
  • Founder 135th Street Agency Ms. Saptosa Foster,
  • National Black Latino Council Chairman Mr. Dan Vargas,
  • Music, TV/Movie and Media Executive Ms. Karen Marie Mason,
  • Professor and Engineer Dr. Sidney Rabsatt Sr., 
  • General Manager of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Mr. Miguel Southwell,
  • American Hero Kwame James,
  • Television and Radio Personality Mr. Darian “Big Tigger” Morgan. 
  • This year we will be recognizing our Youth Pioneer Honorees Phoenix Girls,
  • Humanitarian of the Year: Mr.Saurel Quettan,Food for the Poor,
  • and our Lifetime Achievement Award Honoree, Anthony Quan, CFO and Strategy- Pacific Group at The Coca-Cola Company.
The 2015 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Awards include a series of award events, in the prime markets of Atlanta, Georgia, New York City and Miami, Florida, throughout the year.  The Caribbean Media Network, in conjunction with affiliates, will host this memorable awards celebration on Sunday June 14, 2015, at Atlanta’s new urban chic multicultural hot spot, Negril Village Atlanta. This luxury venue is located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, which will serve as a tropical oasis for this year’s celebration. The event will start promptly at 4:00p.m.Caribbean heritage
The 2015 Awards event, will be feature Caribbean American entertainment, lifestyle, and culture specialist, Red Carpet Shelley, and a variety of celebrity presenters. The atmosphere will be highlighted by the International DJ’s Highlanda Sound along side some special invited guests.

The accomplishments of our honorees, plays a significant role in the continued growth of the metro Atlanta area, and surrounding counties.  The Caribbean Media Network, in conjunction with affiliates, will host a memorable networking celebration on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Fins Restaurant and Lounge, located in Midtown Atlanta. The event will start promptly at 7:00p.m. The event timing has a notable significance for Caribbean Americans in Atlanta, as the city plays host to the 25th Anniversary of Atlanta Caribbean Festival, on May 25, 2013.   The 2013 Caribbean American Movers and Shakers Networking Series include a series of promotional events, in the prime markets of Atlanta, Georgia, New York City, and Miami, Florida, throughout the year.  The 2013 Atlanta Networking Event, will be hosted by Caribbean American Diva, Red Carpet Shelley, who serves as an ambassador of Caribbean lifestyle and culture. Music will be provided by radio personalities Highlanda Sound , throughout the evening.
