In tribute to the lives and careers of the most adored artists in reggae music history, and in celebration of Reggae Month and Black History Month, Highlanda Sound will spotlight and feature the music of “The Legend,” Bob Marley, and “The Crown Prince,” Dennis Brown on the Reggae Vault Classics radio show.

From a child prodigy to the elevation of the Crown Prince of Reggae, Dennis Emanuel Brown undoubtedly developed a commanding and durable sound that made him one of Jamaica‘s most popular artistes of all times. Monday marked the 53rd birthday of this amazing singer who was born on February 1, 1959, and made his journey to the ‘Promised Land’, 11 years ago on July 1, 1999, at 40 years of age.

Bob Marley was undoubtedly the most influential Jamaican musician of all time. Robert Nesta Marley was born on the 6th of February 1945 in the Saint Ann Parish of Jamaica. He was the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the ska, rocksteady and reggae bands The Wailers (1964–1974) and Bob Marley & The Wailers (1974–1981). Bob Marley died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami on the morning of May 11, 1981, at the age of 36.

Today, tune in for REGGAE VAULT CLASSICS, a live full stereo radio format music orientated program designed to spotlight strictly the best of the best music from the great artists in reggae and dancehall music genres.
