Lt. Stitchie Defends His Integrity After Being Slammed On A Florida Radio Station

For Immediate Release May 25, 2016 Kingston, Jamaica Lt. Stitchie Defends His Integrity After Being Slammed On A Florida Radio Station

Lt. Stitchie

Pastor, motivational speaker, author and iconic recording artist, Lt. Stitchie, is today defending his integrity after Brother Gary Smith, a popular gospel promoter, went on the radio and began tarnishing his name.

Brother Gary Smith hired Lt. Stitchie to perform at his annual memorial gospel festival which is scheduled to take place on May 28th and 29th. On both days the event is slated to begin at 5pm. Lt. Stitchie decided that instead of staying in his hotel room on Sunday the 29th, he will be attending church service at the Upper Room Tabernacle where he will share his testimony with the members. Brother Gary Smith was not happy with the Lieutenant’s decision as he apparently prefers that Stitchie remains in his room until show time. Hence, Brother Gary Smith took to the radio and began bashing Lt. Stitchie in a very disrespectful manner.

Surprised and disappointed by this, Lt. Stitchie has decided to withdraw from Brother Gary’s annual memorial gospel festival. He said that, “he is astonished that anyone who knows him would have a problem with him wanting to attend church, regardless if it is before or after a show he is booked to perform on.” He also stated that he will still be attending the Upper Room Tabernacle this Sunday, the 29th of May because he is a lover of Christ and will share his testimony whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself.

Stitchie is also scheduled to preach at the 2016 Gospel Fest Cruisade happening tonight, May 25th, at New Alpha Worship Center in Miami Gardens and tomorrow, Thursday May 26th, under the tenth at Da Grill in Lake Worth.

Shocking Details About Government Snitch In Banton Case Revealed

1

Thursday, March 4th proved to be a revelatory day for Team Banton, who appeared in US District Court in Tampa, Florida for two hearings. The first proceeding at 8:30am was handled by the judge who will actually be overseeing the trial, Judge James Moody. After conferring with the attorneys, Moody locked in the trial start date for Monday, April 19th.

The second proceeding, held before Magistrate Thomas Wilson at 10:30am,  focused on the series of motions filed last month by Banton’s criminal defense attorney, David Oscar Markus, requesting additional information about the government snitch who set up Buju Banton. According to Markus, the government has been slow to turn over documents, transcripts and other key information related to the case.

Here are a few of the shocking details that were revealed about the still unnamed government snitch who set up the Reggae icon:

He transported over 2,000 kilos of cocaine and 3-4,000 kilos of marijuana between 1984 and 1993!

He was convicted in South Florida in 1993 of distributing cocaine in a case that brought a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years!

He has been paid 3.3 million dollars for helping law enforcement (DEA, Customs, FBI, Sarasota PDs) in numerous cases over several years!

He is a legal permanent resident of the United States from Colombia and was granted that immigration status only after law enforcement requested it!

He is paid on a contingency basis and looks to collect approximately $35,000 from the Banton case!

His credibility was called into question by one judge who doubted the truthfulness of his testimony in a case!

He is currently involved in a tax dispute with the IRS!

He has worked consistently with Assistant US Attorney James Preston, the prosecutor handling Banton’s case, for the last 10 years!

Markus argued in court that he needs more information to adequately cross-examine the government’s star witness, including specifics on the snitch’s criminal history, details of his tax case, transcripts from other cases he has testified in and a list of the amounts of money he has earned in each case. Assistant US Attorney Preston countered that his office already turned over any favorable information that might help the defense, as required by the court.

Nevertheless, Magistrate Wilson ordered the prosecution to provide the defense with a list of all the cases (w/ case numbers) the informant has testified in and any communications by criminal law officer or prosecutor asking for beneficial treatment in the informant’s tax case and immigration file. The prosecution has 14 days to turn over everything to Team Banton.

The Label Behind Reggae Phenom Jah Cure

3

The tremendous success of international reggae artiste Jah Cure is not based on pure luck but a combination of organization planning and expertise. The Danger Zone Music Group (DZMG) emerged in the year 2000 out of a need to provide positive and quality music to the masses and Jah Cure has benefited from this aim throughout his career.

Headed by Delmar ‘Della Danger’ Drummond, DZMG in the past has managed the careers of Ce’CileJigsy King,  Mickey Pelpa and Cutty Corn but now focuses on the careers of Jah Cure and Hezron and is also exclusive booking agents for both artistes. With the Danger Zone Sound System as its nucleus, DZMG has over the last 9 years maintained a presence in the local and international music market churning out high quality music.

Not only is DZMG a management company but it’s also a production house and is credited with releasing the ‘Journeys’ Riddim’, produced by Della Danger which featured Journey by Jah Cure, Ce’Cile’s Ride or die, Plant It by Jigsy King featuring Ce’Cile, Show Off by Jigsy King & Tony Curtis, and Poochie Loo by Cutty Corn.

The ‘Journeys Riddim’ followed on the success of the ‘Jamdown Riddim’ of 2007 which won the Best Reggae Compilation Album award at the 2008 RIAJAM awards also giving Della Danger the Executive Producer‘s Award.  And the ‘Wipe Out Riddim’ which featured hits from Beenie Man and Buju Banton. In the summer of this year DZMG will release its latest reggae riddim called ‘Twilight’. The riddim will feature some of Jamaica’s top reggae artistes.

In 2009 DZMG in collaboration with SoBe Entertainment out of Florida released Jah Cure’s Universal Cure album. The album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums Chart and just missed out on being nominated for a Reggae Grammy. DZMG also released Ce’Cile’s ‘Waiting’ album. The album featured production credits from renowned producers Cordell ‘Skatta’ Burrell, Steelie & Cleevie, Lloyd ‘Baby G’ James, Scot Storch and several other top producers.

Fast forward to 2010 and Danger Zone is still going strong, with their top flight artiste Jah Cure winning three EME Awards and now working on his next album slated for a summer release, Danger Zone’s work speaks for itself.
