Highlanda.net and The Honorary Citizen present: *Rub-A-Dub* Sunday Dec. 13th
Come out to The Sound Table this Sunday night as Highlanda.net and The Honorary Citizen aim to satisfy with some big surprises. Female selector Tach from Empress Movements just mashed up #RocksteadyATL and she will be in the area for #RubADub as well alongside Highlanda Sound and DJ Passport.
“Rub-A-Dub” or “Rub-A-Dub Style” is described as one the genres doing the passage between Reggae and Dancehall. This is Reggae, mainly from the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, where DJ’s chanted and Singers sung over various tracks that were mixed in a dub style. Today, Rub-A-Dub files under Roots Reggae.

2Small batch clothing brand “The Honorary Citizen” of Atlanta, GA is launching their first late night Pop Up retail shop experience, “Good Vibes” of 2015.

During the Good Vibes late night pop up shop, visitors will be able to shop an exclusive variety of cut and sew garments, vintage tees and accessories. Good Vibes is a unique shopping experience only occurring quarterly. This Good Vibes will feature, Artist/ Illustrator extraordinaire, Craig "Flux" Singleton who will be displaying some of his work, and will be selling prints of the cover art he created for 'Sunday' the newest book published by Ain HD.
‘Sunday‘ is part confessional, part poetic documentary. Touching on social justice issues, love and relationships,family and life experiences, Ain HD uses her voice to navigate through the topics we don’t always bring to the dinner table.
Meet and greet Ain HD at Good Vibes this Saturday. She will be there selling and signing copies. There will also be a live reading from the book ‘Sunday‘ by Trip Freeman of Atlanta Rap group, W.I.C.
The Good Vibes soundtrack will be finely curated by Based Brent and DJ Hourglass.

3ROCKSTEADY, Atlanta’s Monthly Roots Reggae Celebration will return on March 1st, 2015.
The event will be hosted by the super-talented Atlanta-based reggae star DREGGAE who will perform select songs from his latest project, a much anticipated roots reggae EP that will be released soon. Catch this live exclusive preview.
Musical energy will be brought forth by Highlanda Sound System, DJ Passport and special guest selector Aba Shaka of Cosmic Love Beat.
This will take place on Sunday March 1st, 2015 at the Sound Table (483 Edgewood Ave, Atlanta).
Doors Open 8pm – Midnight and admission is complimentary.

Reggae Vault Classics Joins the Fight against Breast Cancer
3To commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Highlanda Sound System, DJ Osmose, The Honorary Citizen, and DaFlavaRadio.com will hold a special Reggae Vault Classics: Join us in the Fight event on Thursday, October 20th at the Sound Table located at 483 Edgewood Avenue from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. General admission is $5 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the fight against breast cancer.
The Reggae Vault Classics event organizers continue in their mission to uplift their community through bringing the great musical tradition and positive messages of Reggae’s early musicians, producers, and artists to new and diverse audiences. Over the past 6 months this unique event has become a platform to provide meaningful contributions to an even greater cause – the advocacy of cancer awareness and the search for a cure.
Rico Vibes, CEO and President of DaFlavaRadio.com and of Natural Vibes Sound, will host the Reggae Vault Classics: Join us in the Fight event while DJ Osmose, DJ Passport, and Highlanda Sound will provide the soundtrack.“I believe that music is a mission and we have the power to change the world,” stated Kahlil Wonda of Highlanda Sound System.
